Hi, I’m Samantha Shields, a graphic designer who creates bold, clean design for local businesses, nonprofits, and meaningful events.

Through Shields Design Studio, I help people bring their ideas to life through polished design that feels professional, intentional, and genuinely cared for. Whether I’m designing a logo, printed event piece, apparel graphic, or custom illustration, my goal is to make the final design feel clear, memorable, and useful.

My approach

I believe good design should be both beautiful and practical. A strong design should catch attention, communicate clearly, and feel aligned with the person, business, or event it represents.

My style is rooted in clean layouts, bold visual choices, thoughtful details, and genuine care for the people behind each project. I enjoy helping clients feel more confident sharing their message, promoting their event, or presenting their brand to the world.

Background & experience

I earned my BFA in graphic design from Fresno State and have experience creating digital, print, and event-based design materials for churches, nonprofits, businesses, and creative projects.

My work includes logo design, brand identity, posters, flyers, invitations, programs, apparel graphics, web and digital graphics, and custom illustration.

Who I help

I enjoy working with people who have a meaningful idea but need help making it look polished and professional.

That may be a small business needing a logo, a nonprofit planning an event, a church promoting a ministry, or a family creating a custom piece for a special occasion.

A little more about me

Outside of design, I enjoy illustration, running, music, coffee, and finding inspiration in everyday details.

I bring that same curiosity and care into my work, whether the project is big, small, serious, or playful. I also have a design newsletter on Substack that you can follow along for creative inspiration, design thoughts, project updates, and personal favorites.
